Founded in 1995, the Xi’an Arbitration Commission (hereinafter called XAAC) is the first new type arbitration institution in Northwest China re-established by Xi’an municipal government in accordance with the Arbitration Law of the People’s Republic of China and relevant documents of the State Council. It is also one of the first batch of seven pilot institutions established in China. It mainly settles contractual and property-related disputes among equal parties including natural persons, legal persons and other organizations. Persistently adhering to the service conceptof ’Disputes between gentlemen, be settled by harmonious arbitration’, the XAAC has gained highly recognition from the market equity based on its profound culture and professional service with high efficiency. In 2019, the XAAC was rated as China’s Advanced Collective of Public Legal Service by the Ministry of Justice.
For more than 20 years, the XAAC has always insisted on exploring the Chinese traditional cultural elements in the commercial arbitration system, and has successively proposed and practiced the service concepts of Xi’an Arbitration Commission
“Mediation in Tea Room” is a flexible mediation practice of the XAAC, combining China’s traditional tea culture which inherited and melted with Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism with the arbitration culture.
By absorbing the advanced experience of international arbitration and combining with the Xi’an Arbitration Commission actuality of domestic arbitration, the XAAC has proposed and practiced some pre-arbitration legal services such as Customized Arbitration.
